Tujijenge Tanzania's most popular product, working capital
loans range from Tsh 50,000 to 800,000. ($30-$550) Loan terms
vary between 4-6 months. After groups have been formed in
the clients local areas, Tujijenge loan officers conduct due
diligence on the business and owners to determine the initial
size of the loan. Much of the popularity of this loan stems
from Tujijenge's innovative practice of meeting the clients
in their business areas. We value our clients precious time
that is why we do not require them to come to our office branches.
Individual Loan
Tujijenge Tanzania's individual loans products target self
employed business people in urban areas. Loan sizes range
between Tshs 500,000 and 50,000,000 ($300-$35,000) and the
term varies from six months up to twelve months. Individuals
are assigned loan officers to provide business assistance
on book-keeping. Most of our indivdual customers pay their
loans back through mobile money on the MPESA platfrom.
Solar
Loan
Tujijenge partnered with a leading low-cost solar provider
in Tanzania. With the assistance of D-light, Tujijenge has
been able to offer affordable solar lanterns to interested
customers. The product was incredibly succesful, and Tujijenge
is currently seeking additional fundraising to develop this
product and bring it to scale.
